Head of Department - Technology

We seek a dynamic team person to lead our technology department. If you like the idea of working in a well-resourced department supporting students with authentic projects, have a good understanding of NZ Curriculum and NCEA and an understanding of industry requirements then this is the position for you.

Examination Centre Manager

THS is seeking an Examination Centre Manager to run the NCEA and NZ Scholarship examinations in 2022 onwards.

The smooth and successful running of an exam centre is important for all students participating in these examinations.

The position requires you to complete an online training programme and attend a one-day training session with NZQA in August. You would need to complete several administrative tasks to plan and prepare for the exams from August to October. You must be available to work for the entire exam period (Monday 7 November to Friday 2 December) You will need to have confidence in managing and supporting a team of exam supervisors and reader/writer assistants to ensure they undertake duties in accordance with best practice.

Along with a high level of organisational skills and great attention to detail, the successful candidate must enjoy dealing with young people and be focused on providing a positive experience for students during an important time in their academic lives. A high level of proficiency in using a computer and learning to use new computer programmes are essential qualities for this role. You will need to be able to operate within current school structures and systems.
