Culture at THS

At Taradale High School, culture is an important part of school life, and students have the opportunity to experience and participate in Māori cultural traditions, including haka. Through kapa haka and cultural performance, students learn about the values of mana, whanaungatanga, and respect, while building confidence and pride in Aotearoa New Zealand’s unique heritage. Participating in haka allows both local and international students to connect more deeply with the culture of the country and be part of something powerful and meaningful.
