PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Mr David Oliver, Principal

From the Principal

At Taradale High School our aim is to empower each student for success, now and in the future.

Whanaungatanga underpins our expectations for all relationships here at Taradale High School. We acknowledge the importance of staff and students’ connections with each other so that we create the culture of trust required for learning.

We focus on providing authentic contextual learning opportunities and the development of life-long learning habits and capacity.

Young people need a safe physical and emotional environment in which to develop and learn. We have pastoral care systems that ensure strong and supportive relationships develop between students and staff, whilst developing positive behaviours and attitudes. When students are asked what they appreciate about our school, they refer to the positive relationships.

Our school promotes sport and culture, and we encourage all our students to participate in extra-curricular activities.
Taradale High School offers all students the opportunity to gain an excellent education in a co-educational setting.

Piki ake. Kia maia. Be determined. Aim High.
