If a student is unwell​​​​​​​

If a student is unwell and will not be attending school that day, you can notify us by:

• Emailing [email protected].

• Phone the school on 844-2159 and press 1 to leave a message on the absence line.

• Advise us using the School App, which you can download here:  http://ths.apps.school.nz/share/

If a student becomes unwell during the day

If a student becomes unwell during the school day, they must go and see one of their Deans who will give permission to the student to take to the school office to allow the office staff to call a parent / caregiver to either ask them to pick up the student, or ask for permission to let the student go home.

Sometimes, students will call or text their parents to get permission to go home if they feel unwell.  Please be aware that the office cannot accept a text message from a parent, the staff need to speak to a parent, caregiver or emergency contact.  In these circumstances, please call the school office on 844-2159.

If a student will be late

If a student has an appointment or, due to unforeseen circumstances will be late to school:

• Call the school office on 844-2159 and let the office staff know, or
  

• Send the student to school with a note to sign in at the office.
  

Students must go to the office to sign in if they arrive after form time has finished. 

In both these instances, you will need to speak to the student's House Deans.
